For this project, the goal was to create a non-profit interface research website or app. I wanted to do something on sleep health and issues as it’s something I’ve struggled with before.

I decided to create a website with features and info that will help anyone who has sleep issues and are looking for some help with it.

Sleep plays an essential role in health. However, in today’s world, many working people sacrifice their sleep for other things, and this leads to a lot of people having issues stemming from sleep or a lack thereof.

In the U.S., 35.2% of all adults report sleeping on average for less than seven hours per night.

32.6% of working adults reported sleeping six or fewer hours per night in 2017-2018.

More than 44% of workers in production-focused industries report getting seven hours of sleep or less per night.

    Target Market/Audience

I will be aiming for the M/F, Age 25-35, skilled, married with children, working-class segment, primarily located in the US.

While my subject is about sleep, my target audience is usually busy and on the go. Thus, I want to create a vibrant visual aesthetic that will attract people’s eyes. Using a very readable font and simple yet effective language will get the information across effectively to my target audience.

The interactive piece will be mostly informative but also have a call to action. It will be on a microsite and wall screens. For the wall screens, I want to place them near populated areas such as near bus stops and other heavily trafficked areas to increase visibility.

    Color Applications (Light & Dark)

For the posters, I illustrated 3 different scenarios in which falling asleep would be very detrimental to the person (with varying degrees of severity). They are designed to be relatable to a wide range of people; falling asleep while eating, falling asleep behind the wheel, and falling asleep while doing a sports activity.

The landing page features the striking and attention-grabbing visuals that I had planned from the start.

The user simply scrolls down, and gets a better understanding of what my organization and what the problem we’re trying to raise awareness of is.

The quiz is the center of the microsite. The user simply has to answer a number of questions that diagnoses their sleep issues, such as:

    - Number & type of issues
    - Severity of issues
    - Factors affecting them

    Moderate Sleep Issues

    Severe Sleep Issues
